SM Energy Endowed

Awarded to students who are eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship who have completed 30 or more credits. Preference will be given to students enrolled full-time in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geological Engineering, or Masters Degrees in Geosciences with Concentrations in either Geological Engineering, Geology or Geophysical Engineering. Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA if enrolled in Petroleum Engineering, Geological Engineering or Masters of Geoscience degree program or a 3.4 GPA if enrolled in Mechanical Engineering in order to apply for the scholarship. Preference is given to students pursuing career in the oil & gas upstream industry. Preference is given to students involved in community outreach, service or stewardship. Preference is given to either a Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree candidate and one to a Masters student in Geosciences. Students must submit a resume and short answer to the two questions listed in order to apply. 1) Why are you pursuing a career in the energy industry and which characteristics do you believe will make you successful? 2) How will this scholarship impact your education at Montana Tech?
